Every member is expected to sign up for one or more of the following committees/involvements. Active participation by all will keep our club vital and fun!
Agua Hedionda Lagoon on Cannon Rd. – participate in monthly garden maintenance
Scholarship – Identify & award a yearly scholarship to a horticulture student
Petals for Patriots – make floral arrangements & donate vases for Wounded Warriors
Plant Sales – help propagate, grow and sell plants
Pennies for Pines – collect & submit donations from members
Annual Garden Tour – plan a tour of local gardens for members and guests
Discovery Group – arrange for GC members to learn & discuss landscape issues at homes; also take field trips to nurseries and other places of interest
Membership – attract new members & greet/introduce new members at meetings
Publicity – post Club activities in local media
Webmaster – maintain the existing Club website
Historian – pictorially record Club events of the fiscal year
Finance – record Club income/expenses or audit financial records at end of fiscal year
Represent the Club at district meetings held in SD County
Provide Club meeting/event information to members without e-mail
Secure Carlsbad facilities for Club meetings
Decorations & refreshments – bring to regularly scheduled meetings
Horticulturalist – present a plant at regular Club meetings when asked
Membership – greet meeting attendees
Exchange/Sale table – distribute donations or sell garden-related items at meetings
Inventory – storage of Club property (plants, tables, signs, etc.)
