Our Club Flower The Geranium
Poem by Natalie Reed
Our geraniums smile up at us prettily.
They are very pleased to be special members of our families.
And we admire them for being just what they are, charming and
unpretentious although we know that they are wonderfully delightful.
They cheer our days in so many ways with their lovely colors
and their friendliness, rewarding us and our gardens joyfully!

Our Club has been in existence since 1932, having broken away from the Carlsbad Women’s Club. (see the section: History) We range in age, sex, background, ability to garden and the size of our gardens, but we can all come together and enjoy each other’s company based on our common passion: gardening. We meet monthly from July to June as a Club with a combination of programs: speakers, field trips, fund raising activities, Annual Garden Tour, Carlsbad Community and Palomar District events. We have a Discovery Group that meets every month at members’ gardens or goes on field trips for more specific gardening interests. We have a commitment to volunteer at the Discovery Center of the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Foundation here in Carlsbad. Overall, we are a small therefore, quite personal, active Club open to new ideas and new members. Join us and become part of our proud history!
